Biography

Shivaun registered as a Pharmacist in 1987 having studied at the Welsh School of Pharmacy. She undertook her University of Wales College of Cardiff Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy at Derby City Hospital and obtained her PhD, entitled Pharmaceutical Care of the Elderly, in 1993. She has experience working as a hospital pharmacist, teaching practitioner pharmacist, National Prescribing Centre training advisor and pharmaceutical adviser.

Shivaun joined the Medway School of Pharmacy in September 2008 from Torbay Care Trust where she was Senior Medicines Management Pharmacist. She was involved in establishing the South Devon Joint Formulary and has a strong interest in promoting evidence based therapeutics. She is also currently a Board Member of teh College of Pharmacy Practice, Faculty of Prescribing and Medicines Management.

Current Posts

Shivaun is a Clinical Lecturer at the Medway School of Pharmacy working on both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

As an Associate Director for JPB programmes, Shivaun supports diploma pharmacists and tutors who undertake the Medway School of Pharmacy Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice.

Shivaun is a Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
