Our strategic goals are:

  • To implement a common, unified post-registration higher education portfolio across the South, South East and Eastern regions of the UK, via the Joint Programme Board consortium.
  • To establish an educational infrastructure for a relevant portfolio of progressive post-registration programmes for pharmacy practitioners, from immediate post-registration juniors through to Consultant pharmacists.
  • To widen access to post-registration formal education for all pharmacist practitioners.
  • To build a collaborative exemplar for a formal postgraduate educational infrastructure that can address policy developments in health care, specifically Agenda for Change; the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework;  Foster review; recommendations; fitness for practise and patient safety agendas.

The curriculum will develop the foundations of specialism in practitioners as they progress towards the award of the DipGPP.
